GAPFILL: Data Gap Filling
GDA relies on its data gap masks to fill the data gaps in one scene with the data from adjacent scenes and/or imagery for the same footprint but from a different acquisition date.
GDA typically utilizes surface reflectance calibrated imagery in its gap filling procedures. During the gap filling process scenes are sequentially normalized to the base scene to fill data gaps in the base scene. Selection of the base scenes, gap fill source scenes, and the processing sequence can be reviewed with the client to ensure that the deliverables meet client requirements.
