South America Soybean Planting Begins

Planting for the 2009/2010 soybean crops are underway in South America. Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay rank second, third and fifth in global soybean exports. While record soybean production is expected, with increases in area as well as improved practices to increase soybean yields, there are also regional specific risks that bear watching.
