Invasive Species Monitoring

Invasive species refers to native and non-native species, plant or animal, that heavily colonize a particular area to the detriment of other species within that region. Invasive species can have a significant impact to the economical, environmental and ecological characteristics of a region.

Remote sensing plays a key role in the early detection, damage assessment and the monitoring of control or eradication measures taken to remove the threat of the invasive species.

GDA's industry leading satellite image processing, the ability to utilize multiple sensors from satellite or airborne imagery and the ability to rapidly extract and analyze large amounts of imagery provide a distinct advantage in the thoroughness and cost effectiveness of the monitoring of invasive species.

The presentation below provides an example of GDA's previous work in the monitoring of invasive species. Please contact us to find out how GDA's technology and expertise can assist your organization.
